Public Works Reminds You:

  • If you have a fire hydrant on your lot it is your responsibility to keep it clear of debris (snow, weeds, trees, tall grass, etc.)
  • If you have a sidewalk on your lot it is your responsibility to keep it clear of debris (snow, weeds, trees, tall grass, etc.) According to Town Code 12.04.100: “It is unlawful for the owner, occupant or agent of any lot, parcel or tract of land to permit snow to remain on the sidewalk on the street upon which such lot, parcel  or tract of land abuts for a period exceeding twenty-four hours after termination of the falling snow.”
  • Please be courteous and respectful of the snow plow operators. Please don’t park in the street right of ways and give them at least five-feet off the edge of the pavement so they can keep the streets completely plowed.
  • Maintain your water meter in the winter. It is the account holder’s responsibility to keep it from freezing.

Winter Parking Restrictions

The Town of Hayden plows all Town streets, except for U.S. Highway 40.  During the months of November through April of each year, parking on streets, alleys or highways is unlawful between the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.  Violators of this parking restriction are subject to ticketing and/or towing at vehicle owner’s expense.

All property owners are responsible for keeping their sidewalks clear of ice and snow.  Snow and Ice must be removed 24 hours after the termination of falling snow.

Responsible for the day to day operation of the Public Utilities (water and waste water treatment plants).
The Systems Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Water and Sewer Departments. He assists in preparing and executing long-term planning of capital improvement projects and programs. development of policies and policy discussion pertaining to the Public Works Department.
