Town Parks

Hayden Town Park is located at 229 South 3rd Street, which is approximately 1½ blocks south of the intersection of West Jefferson Avenue (Highway 40) and South 3rd Street on the west side of the street.  This park has the following amenities:  playground equipment, basketball court, tennis courts, sand volleyball court, pavilion/restrooms, barbecue grills, and picnic tables.

Main Street Park is located at 101 S. Chestnut Street, which is at the southwest corner of West Jefferson Avenue and South Chestnut Street.  (Directly across from Kum & Go on Hwy. 40 in Hayden)  This park has picnic tables and restrooms and is a great place to stop for a quick picnic.

Dry Creek Park is located at 513 South Poplar St. (directly south of the Routt County Fairgrounds).  This 20 acre property currently has a large pond, three baseball fields, one multi-use field (football, soccer, etc.), an 18-hole disc golf course, and a one-mile soft surface walking path.  This trail system is utilized by pedestrians and winter activities such as Snowshoeing and Nordic Skiing.  Also included at Dry Creek Park is a large covered pavilion with picnic tables and a charcoal bbq grill. Public restrooms are available.

Hayden Skate Park is located at 350 South Poplar St. (directly across from the Routt County Fairgrounds main entrance, to the northeast.)  The Skate Park has numerous ramps available for use.  Helmets and skate passes are required, and hours are dawn to dusk.  Passes must be obtained at the Hayden Town Hall.  No night skating is allowed.

Vista Verde Park is located at 352 Vista Verde Dr. in the Vista Verde Subdivision and is a multi-purpose grassy area designed for free play. Shade is minimal.

Lake Village Park is located at 326 Lake View Rd. in Lake Village Subdivision and includes a playgrounds as well as a multi-purpose grassy area designated for free play. Shade is minimal.
