Parks and Recreation Board

The Hayden Parks and Recreation Board helps plan, direct develop and implement recreation activities and events to assist in promoting long-range programs for the development of the Town’s recreation system for youth, adults and senior citizens. The HPR Board works in cooperation with staff to achieve an ample diversity of recreation activities to meet established goals and objectives. Some current programs and events include peewee wrestling, baseball, softball, soccer, football, basketball, Toddler Open Gym, Stokes gulch moto-x, Cog Run, Hayden Daze, Easter egg hunt, Harvest Festival, and It’s Summer Somewhere.

Recreation Coordinator:  The Recreation Coordinator works in cooperation with the Hayden Parks and Recreation Board in developing, planning, and implementing recreation and social programs for the community long with scheduling parks.  The Recreation Coordinator is available on a part-time basis by phone  at 970.734.4168 or email at

Hayden Parks and Recreation Board
The Hayden Parks Recreation Board is a volunteer Board of nine members that meets the fourth Tuesday of each month, 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.   The working board has had great success in developing recreation programs and events for the community.  Hayden Parks and Recreation Board is currently seeking additional members.  Board members must reside within Hayden.   HPR Board Application
