Construction Period

Start Date: 8-07-2018

Estimated Completion:

10-31-2018

Construction hours 7-6 M-F

The Town of Hayden is undertaking a significant reconstruction on Vista Verde. New curb and gutter will be installed along with a fully reconstructed road surface and water main.

There will be unavoidable inconvenience; the Town and our Construction personnel will make every effort to minimize periods of limited access. At times those periods could be several days as we repair what were unfortunate construction methods at the time of development.

Please understand our team is doing its best to accommodate residents living in the immediate area. A new waterline is being installed to allow for better access for Town maintenance operations and service the residents. With the waterline installation water service may be interrupted for periods of an hour or more.

Patience and understanding the inconvenience now will be rewarded with a new infrastructure in the very near future. We can all help the Contractor complete the work as quickly as possible, so please help with your patience!

Thank You All!

Spring/Summer Road Construction Updates

At the January 22, 2015, Northwest Transportation Planning Region meeting,  updates were provided on two projects that might impact Hayden residents, CO Hwy 9 and Hwy 40 – Berthoud Pass.  Starting as early as April 2015 improvements to Hwy 9 will begin.  This project is scheduled to take three construction seasons, e.g. through 2017; however, the contractor is trying to move the project start in 2015 from July to April and only impact travelers for two construction seasons.  At this time be prepared for traffic delays on Hwy 9 in 2015 – 2017.  The second project is for avalanche protection and road surface improvements on Berthoud Pass scheduled for the 2015 construction season.  This project is scheduled to begin when snow and weather conditions permit.

If you are heading to I-70 you may want to take CO Hwy 131 to avoid construction delays.

Summer CDOT Road Closure Update

CDOT will be making improvements on Hwy 9 this summer, beginnng in April, so travelers heading to I-70 should be aware of traffic delays.  CDOT will also be working on avalanche safety improvements and road surface improvements on Berthoud Pass (Hwy 40) this summer, beginning when snow and weather conditions allow.  CDOT posts updated construction information at: www.cotrip.org/roadConditions.htm

Travelers may want to use CO Hwy 131 to access I-70 to avoid travel delays.
